Convict Graphic Designers

Neil Stansfield was jailed for over two years for buying own-brand, non-organic supermarket food, repackaging it as well-sourced organic produce and selling it on at a huge markup to highly reputable food retailers. Even though, it was illegal and a shameful act, on the other hand it was an example of how buying own-brand, non-organic supermarket food, repackaging it as well-sourced organic produce and selling it on at a huge markup to highly reputable food retailers.

Hillary Clinton's logo

I believe that her logo is unique, yet simple. I think that she could have made it more creative rather than just simple. I mean it is unique but its pretty simple. The arrow in the H makes it more unique, but because it is too simple, she is getting a lot of negative comments. The only thing that bothers me is that it is too simple, it should be a little more creative but overall it is an amazing unique logo!

Logo

I like Pizza Hut's logo. Whenever I look at that logo, i feel hungry. Pizza Hut's logo is well known and it is very simple. Just by looking at the logo it is pretty obvious that it is Pizza Hut logo. What I like the most about this logo is that, they made a hut on top of the Pizza and that is just amazing. This symbolizes that anyone is welcome to eat pizza inside this hut. Well that is just my definition of pizza hut. The color choices for this logo is amazing. Red, black, yellow and a little green. They are the perfect color choices.

To the Point: Interview With Dave Perillo, aka Montygog

Dave Perillo a.k.a Montygog is an illustrator whose interest in drawing and illustration was built up at a very young age. For 13 years he has worked as an illustrator. He believes that Art doesn't have to be serous, we can just play around with it. Any crazy idea can turn out to be an artwork. He studies art and was also self-taught. He graduated college with BA in Graphic Design. His creative process is quite simple, sometimes he will simply do sketches, scan them in, and work off those on computer and sometimes he will just jump right into it on the computer. For creating his work he uses Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. His first solo show was at Galary 1988 called "Square 4 Square". He has worked with Disney, Target, Breaking Bad, Ghost busters, Adventure Time, Star Wars etc. His advice for emerging illustrators are that "Keep creating. If you love it and have a passion for it, just keep doing it. Also, I believe it's extremely important to develop your own style/"thing". Quite honestly I don't like his artworks because they are just simply too boring and not good looking characters but I like his statement that keep creating no matter what happens and do what you love.

My First Work on Photoshop!

Niels Diffrient - Rethinking the way we sit down

Neils Diffrient lived for 25 years in Italy and America. His passion for planes started at the age of 6, he built model planes. As in college he took aerospace engineering as his major but instead he learnt maths and no drawing at all, soon he lost his passion for making planes and switched to art. There he studied painting, design, architecture and eventually became a Designer but business didn't go well and then he chose furniture especially office chairs - it was the product shaped by the human body and in order to do that he needed to learn about how to deal with body. After business ups and downs he designed a chair - a chair that balance your weight with no adjustment needed, with arm rest - move them up or down as you want. and head rest. In my opinion, his officer chair idea is amazing, so much so that I want to have these kinds of chairs that he designed because not everyone has the talent to do something amazing.

How to Ruin a Great Design

Asma AbiBakar

How to Ruin a Great Design by Alice Rawsthorn

There are a lot of different types of bad designs. Bad designs can be the designs that do not show a clear message or are unnecessarily complicated. Then there are crimes against design or art, they deprive us of the joy of great design, by replacing it. For example, the sign that says “Diverted cyclists” it consist of two words, an arrow and a symbol of a cycle. They messed up this sign even though somebody else made this. They messed it up by making the “D” in Diverted much bigger than other letters, now this looks clumsy. Now this is a crime against design, which make people confuse when they look at the sign and it is hard to understand what the sign say. So In conclusion, to ruin a great design all you need to do is make it worse, add something that will look clumsy and that will be enough to confuse people.

Once upon a time, there was a very stubborn, very proud, bad mouthed princess who lived alone with her father in a Kingdom. Her father wanted her to get married as soon as possible because of her bad personality, she was ruining his image as the King, her dad called a meeting at which the princess will have to choose her bridegroom/Prince but instead she insulted every single one of them, pointing out the flaws they had, her dad couldn't tolerate this embarrassment and promised to get her married to the first person who walks in the gates of the kingdom, next day in the morning. The next day, a beggar came in the Kingdom and her dad forced her to get married to him, she pleaded with him but she got married and kicked out of the kingdom, the beggar took her to his Village. In the next six months, the beggar treated her badly, and she hated him for that but actually that beggar was trying to change her personality because he was none other than one of the Prince that came to the meeting, and she insulted him so he changed himself into a beggar to teach her a lesson, at the end the Princess learnt her lesson and lived happily ever after in her new Kingdom.
